Most projects for Factory Finish Cabinets take 3-5 days. Here is the breakdown for those days.
Day 1- Pick up the doors and drawer fronts from the customers home to take to our shop. While at your home we will remove and label all the doors and drawers so that they go back exactly where we took them from. Your valuable drawers and doors will be packaged in foam/mover's quilts to fully protect them while transporting. You will have full access to your kitchen. We will not be at your home all day because we will take the work to our shop. At our shop we will start the process of cleaning, sanding, and placing our first coat of primer on the drawers and doors.
Days 2-3 The work will continue at our shop until all the drawers and doors are finished and pass inspection. We will allow them to fully dry in our drying chamber and then repackage them for transport back to your home.
Days 3-4 We will be back at your home and will start the transformation of your cabinets. Typically, we like to pull out some of the appliances, (Microwave, oven, Refrigerator, and dish washer) so that we can get professional results on all surfaces. That process will be determined once we get a look at the site. We will most likely move the refrigerator to another outlet so you can still use it and this will give us access to the wood panels. Thick paper will be placed down on the floors to protect them. Temporary plastic walls will be setup around the work area and plastic/paper covers will be setup to protect any surface that is not getting transformed. The sanders we use have vacuums attached and collect 99% of the dust and the sprayer we used has almost no over spray, regardless we will still set up plastic walls around the workspace. We will be cleaning, sanding, priming, and painting on these days. Usually you will have to empty out the drawers and cabinets.
Days 4-5 Time to bring back your doors and drawers, take all the plastic and paper down, put back the drawers and doors, put your appliances back, do a walk through, and give you back your space.
If we do end up moving your appliances, we will place them back at the end of our workdays if requested. The refrigerator will remain in a temporary place and will stay plugged in.
